Treadmill Test

The treadmill stress test is used to determine the effects of physical activity or exercise on the heart. This allows your cardiologist to detect abnormal heart rhythms and diagnose coronary artery disease if present.

During TMT your blood pressure is also measured and you are monitored for symptoms of chest discomfort or fatigue.

This is a simple test that requires you to run on a treadmill for a short period to get your heart to work progressively, while an ECG is monitoring your heart rate.
